A large privately owned financial group with a big exposure to the Russian market was planning the IPO of its largest company the market leader in life- and non-life insurance in the Czech Republic. They have had approached competition on their own and the final negotiation with the candidate of their choice did not conclude. With regard to the planned IPO they were searching for a CEO with a strong international image/name. We asked our colleagues in the Netherlands, Germany and UK to provide us with candidates they had been in contact with in the past.
Within 3 weeks we presented a shortlist of 3, out of which one Dutch candidate was appointed within short notice. He successfully managed the company for more than 18 months, but left it because the IPO finally did not take place. Today, he is the European leader of one of the most important European Financial groups in Banking and Insurance.
